CAA awards scholarships to employees children

KARACHI: The Director General, Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA), has awarded scholarships to 180 PCAA employee’s children besides issuing promotion orders of 99 lower staff members. DG PCAA Ismail Khoso and Deputy DG have adopted an employee friendly policy for the betterment of the organisation, said a statement released by the PCAA Media Coordinator on Sunday. Total 180 children of CAA employees will receive educational grant by obtaining 80 percent and above marks in matriculation or 1st year examination-2001 from all education boards of Pakistan. Hence, Rs 2.3 million have been released under the head of scholarship. The 99 lower staff members have been promoted from PG-1 to PG-2 and from PG-2 to PG-3 which included peon, janitorial services and night watchmen trades. It is worth mentioning here that Director General Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has promoted 550 staff members just a month ago. The Media Coordinator added that promotion order of 99 staff members had already been issued to all the airports. app
