KARACHI: PIA and Make a Wish Foundation Pakistan arranged air journey for five seriously ill children to fulfil their desire of becoming pilots and flying an aircraft.
Two children wearing PIA pilot’s uniform went on board a PIA flight as pilots from Karachi to Lahore while the other three, wanting to travel by an aeroplane, accompanied them.PIA pilot in command made onboard announcement that the flight was of special importance as it had four pilots – two regular pilots and two children Muhammad Waseem Ali & Ansa Abul Sattar.
The other three children, Muhammad Dilshad, Sobia Siddiqui & Muhammad Hassan, travelled as passengers. The children were accompanied on board flight PK302 by Zareen Yousufzai, wife of PIA’s Managing Director.
A reception was arranged for the five children at Allama Iqbal Airport Lahore and they visited Minar-e-Pakistan and an educational show at the PIA Planetarium.
