Sweet homes for orphan girls

Islamabad—Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal (PBM) is all set to establish Sweet homes for girls where the orphans would get a home like environment besides having facilities of quality education and health. This orphanage would be constructed on the pattern of already established sweet homes for boys.

PBM Managing Director (MD) Zamurud Khan announced the construction of sweet homes for girls at a ceremony to welcome the new batch of students at Zia Siddique foundation.

He said that the orphanage named as sweet homes are not traditional orphanage and that is why their name is so different. “Children get a home like atmosphere at sweet homes which is not available at any other orphanage across the country,” he claimed.

Currently PBM is looking after 1,500 orphan children, aged 4-6 years, and providing them education and other requirements of life. Many donors and philanthropists had shown interest in providing donations and sponsoring these children. About 450 children have already been sponsored for their 14-year education and other living expenses.

He also stressed the need to provide the opportunities of technical training and vocational skills are the need of the hour as the unemployment rate in the country is increasing day by day.
